Need to have more option to edit a document, like Microsoft Word. When editing a document, there needs to be page breaks added. it appears as one long document until you go to turn it into a PDF where it is then broken into pages. It is impossible to get the spacing right since you have to go back and forth with the document.

How to Use the Prompt Record Feature in pdfFiller

The Prompt Record feature in pdfFiller is a powerful tool that allows you to easily collect data from your users and populate it into your documents. Follow these simple steps to make the most out of this feature:

Access the Prompt Record feature by logging into your pdfFiller account and opening the document you want to work with.

Click on the 'More' button in the toolbar at the top of the page.

From the dropdown menu, select 'Prompt Record'.

A sidebar will appear on the right side of the screen. This is where you can create and manage your prompts.

To create a new prompt, click on the 'Add Prompt' button at the top of the sidebar.

Give your prompt a name and select the type of input you want to collect from the user. You can choose from options like text, date, number, and more.

Customize the prompt by adding a description or instructions for the user.

If you want to make the prompt required, toggle the 'Required' switch to 'On'. This will ensure that the user cannot submit the document without providing a response to the prompt.

Repeat steps 5 to 8 to add more prompts as needed.

Once you have created all your prompts, click on the 'Save' button to apply the changes.

To test the Prompt Record feature, click on the 'Preview' button in the toolbar. This will allow you to see how the prompts will appear to the user.

If everything looks good, you can start collecting data by sharing the document with others. When someone fills out the document, their responses to the prompts will be automatically recorded and populated into the document.

To view the collected data, go back to the document and click on the 'Prompt Record' button in the toolbar. This will open the sidebar where you can see a summary of the responses.

If you need to make any changes to the prompts or view individual responses, click on the 'Manage Responses' button in the sidebar.

From the 'Manage Responses' page, you can edit or delete prompts, as well as view and export individual responses as needed.
