The IMEI code: to block a lost or stolen handset This is a 15 or 17-digit number that is unique to each phone. You will need to give this number to your telecom provider, so they can block your SIM card if your handset is lost or stolen. It usually comes with the packaging of your phone and also features on your bills.
In order to block your phone without your IMEI number you need to contact customer care for whichever provider you are with, and they can do one of two things. 1 they can block your sim, this prevents calls coming or going from your sim card or 2 they can at your request look up your IMEI number, they have this with
Check that it isn't just lost. Someone swiped your phone. File a police report. Lock (and maybe erase) your phone remotely. Call your cellular provider. Change your passwords. Call your bank. Contact your insurance company. Note your device's serial number.
Get an FIR number from the nearest police station. Present that FIR to the telecom officials. Telecom officials will block your phones calling on the basis of the IMEI that they will receive on their telecom signal.
Sign in to your Google Account on android.com/devicemanager. If you have more than one device, use the arrow next to the device name to choose the lost device. Select Lock. In the “Phone number (optional)” field, type in a phone number where you can be reached. Select Lock.
If a phone is blacklisted, it means that the device was reported lost or stolen. The blacklist is a database of all the IMEI or ESN numbers that have been reported. If you have a device with a blacklisted number, your carrier may block services. In the worst-case scenario, the local authorities could seize your phone.
If you're blocking someone in your Contacts lists, go to Settings > Phone > Call Blocking & Identification. Scroll all the way to the bottom and tap Block Contact. That will bring up your contacts list, and you can scroll through and select those you want to block.
