However, the call center is only open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Pacific Time and closed on New Year's Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. You can also reserve online through Reserve California 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Get the URL for the park you want to reserve. To do that, go to Reserve California and enter the park's name. Get familiar with the reservation system while you're there. Pick a few campsites that you are most interested in and have them ready.
Campsite reservation information can be obtained by calling 1-800-444-7275. Campsites are available by reservation year-round and can be made from 48 hours up to six months in advance. Reservations are highly recommended (especially for holiday periods).
Search for Yosemite National Park. Enter the dates you want to camp. Click on "filters" so you can improve search results. Enter "group size" and check "reservable online." Select "camping" to limit your search to campground reservations.
If you don't have a campground reservation, you can try to camp in a first-come, first-served campground. These can fill up early from spring through fall and during holidays in winter. Check current campground status by calling 209/372-0266.
Call the Reservation Center at 888-CAMPOUT (888-226-7688) or the Washington Telecommunications Relay Service at 711 or 800-833-6384. Agents are available to make reservations between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. daily, except Christmas and New Year's Day.
