Search Text in PDF. Search and Highlight

The search tool is one of pdfFiller’s the latest enhancements. Using this tool, you can find a word or a phrase in a PDF document. Now you will save even more time editing or annotating your PDFs because our search tool not only finds words, but also enables you to erase, highlight, and redact them. To activate the Search tool, click the Search button on the main toolbar or press CTRL+F on your keyboard.

The search toolbar will appear under the editing tools.

The document is secured or protected To keep the PDF document secure, the author or distributor may have disabled edits and comments, which means that those viewing and using the document cannot highlight text on it.
Method 1: Copy and Paste the Text One of the most widely used options to extract text from PDF documents is to simply copy and paste the text. Many people prefer this method because copying and pasting text is a familiar process — something that you do nearly every day.
Make a PDF searchable with Adobe Acrobat. Open Adobe Acrobat on your computer. Click Open. Find and select the document you want to make searchable, then click Open. Head to Tools and select Recognize Text. Press PDF Output Style Searchable Image. Select OK.
Right-click the document, and choose Select Tool from the pop-up menu. Drag to select text, or click to select an image.
To jump to highlighted text, do the following: Click Show/Hide Navigation Panel on the top toolbar to show the Navigation panel. In the Navigation Panel, click the Bookmarks tab. Click on the highlight to jump to specific highlighted text.
How To Search for a Word in a PDF Using Any PDF Reader Open any PDF with your default PDF reader. Press CTRL+F (Windows) or CMD+F (Mac). In the text box, enter your search term. The first match will be highlighted. Press “Enter” or click the right arrow to navigate between the results.
1.Google's "filetype:" Operator for Searching Type "filetype:pdf" followed by your desired keyword to find PDFs on a specific topic.
One of the main reasons why PDFs are not searchable is that they don't include any text. The PDF may be a scanned document or just an image-based document. If that's the case, then there is no searchable text. You can read the text within the image-based document, but the PDF tool cannot.
