How to Use the Shape Highlight Form Feature in pdfFiller

The Shape Highlight Form feature in pdfFiller allows you to easily highlight and draw attention to specific areas or shapes on your forms. Follow these simple steps to use this feature:

Open the form you want to work with in pdfFiller.

Click on the 'Highlight' button in the toolbar at the top of the page.

A dropdown menu will appear. Select 'Shape Highlight Form' from the options.

Now, you can choose the shape you want to highlight. Click on the shape icon in the toolbar.

A variety of shapes will appear. Select the shape that best suits your needs.

Click and drag your mouse on the form to create the shape. You can resize and reposition the shape as needed.

To change the color of the shape, click on the color palette icon in the toolbar and select a color.

If you want to add text to the shape, click on the 'T' icon in the toolbar and type your desired text.

To remove the shape, simply click on it and press the 'Delete' key on your keyboard.

Once you are done highlighting the form, click on the 'Done' button to save your changes.

The interface has improved, but it is not perfect. I chose PDFiller because of its simplicity. I love that I can use it anywhere without having to install it in every computer I use. I wish it included a crop feature or the ability to modify the page size. I also wish we could delete previous files with the same name so that there is no confusion. There are several other little things, but these are the top major issues I've had.

Select the “Highlight Area” tool and apply the desired highlighted area on the PDF document. Once the highlight is applied, right-click on the highlighted area. Select “Properties”.
Open any PDF document, go to menu View → Comment → Annotations, right-click on the “Highlight text” tool, choose “Tool Default Properties” and you will be able to change its default color.
Hold down the Ctrl key and draw a line over the text you want to highlight. Draw a straight line by holding down the Ctrl and Shift keys.
If you want to highlight one word at a time, press Ctrl key while holding down Shift, and then press the left or right arrow key. If you want to highlight a whole line of text, move your cursor to the start of the line, hold the Shift key, and then press the down arrow.
