I like it thus far, however, there should be a discount for students, we are on a budget and this would so help. I have recommended your software to other classmates, i really like it, but somewhat pricey for my basic use.

There are some jets that have straight wings that can accommodate 5,000-ft. runways such as the Citation V/Ultra/Encore and Falcon 50. A rule of thumb for turboprops is that they need 2,800 feet at sea level.
For almost all airplanes, takeoff requires more runway. As others have mentioned, the airplane is heavier for takeoff than for landing, and the airplane will usually take off at a higher speed than the speed at which it lands. For almost all airplanes, takeoff requires more runway.
”The main requirement for RODS aircraft are a minimum of 1000 meters in length at sea level, plus an extra 90-metre increase in length for each 1000 feet the aerodrome is above sea level.
Runway length A runway of at least 6,000 ft (1,800 m) in length is usually adequate for aircraft weights below approximately 200,000 lb (91,000 kg). Larger aircraft including wide bodies will usually require at least 8,000 ft (2,400 m) at sea level and somewhat more at higher altitude airports.
