Select all cells you'd like to format. Go to Format > Number in the spreadsheet menu and pick Date to see the date only or Date time to get both date and time in a cell:
Open a spreadsheet in the Google Sheets app. Tap a cell, then drag the blue markers across nearby cells you want to select. In the “Text” tab, choose an option to format your text. In the “Cell” tab, choose an option to format your cell.

Highlight all cells you need to modify. Take all formulas to the clipboard by pressing Ctrl+C on your keyboard. Then press Ctrl+Shift+V to paste back the values only: Tip. Ctrl+Shift+V is the Google Sheets shortcut for Paste value only.
Right click at the cell which contains the date you want to convert to number, and in the right-click menu, select Format Cells common. In Format Cells dialog under Number tab select General from the pane of Category. Click OK.
