Type in the code. Click on a blank area of any text field, hold down the Alt key (for Windows) or the Option key (for Mac), and using the number pad, type in the code numbers associated with your symbol. Let go of the Alt / Option key, and the symbol should appear on the text field.

Press and hold the ALT key and type the number 9733 or 9734 to make star symbol. Use Unicode star symbols in a HTML document or copy and paste the character.
(° A) A\\_()_/A ''\\\\= ( ) =//'' (A(A (° A) A) A) () (° A) _ _ () ''\\\\=(° A)=//' ()*: : *() [$(5)$] A) (AWAY)
Find Alt code. Numeric code that stands for symbol you want to make. Enable Sum Lock. Usually Sum Lock is a button located on keyboard's right side (on numeric Keypad). Press “Alt” (button). Type the Alt code in with Keypad keys. Release all the keys.
To insert an ASCII character, press and hold down ALT while typing the character code. For example, to insert the degree (º) symbol, press and hold down ALT while typing 0176 on the numeric keypad. You must use the numeric keypad to type the numbers, and not the keyboard.
Android's keyboard works similarly. Long-press keys on the keyboard to access related characters and symbols. For example, long-press the e to find the accented e characters. Long-press other symbols like the currency symbol to access additional related symbols.
Look for the “Sum Lock” light on your keyboard to make sure it is turned on. Navigate back to the window where you would like to type the symbol. Hold the “Alt” key and type the proper ASCII code on the numeric keypad. When you release the “Alt” key, you should see your desired symbol on the screen.
