If you hide a comment on your own timeline, you will no longer see that comment or any replies to it. In general, your friends will no longer be able to see it either. However, the person who posted the comment will still be able to see it, so they will have no idea that you hid it.
To hide a comment, hover over the top-right hand x and click Hide. Now the post can only be seen by the person who wrote the comment and his or her friends. They'll have no idea the post is hidden, and you can always click Unhide later if you like.
To hide a comment, hover over the top-right hand x and click Hide. Now the post can only be seen by the person who wrote the comment and his or her friends. They'll have no idea the post is hidden, and you can always click Unhide later if you like.
When you hide something on your timeline, it does not show up to anyone who subsequently views your timeline (including yourself). This doesn't mean the post has been removed from the site though, as it's still visible elsewhere on the site and could show up in places like News Feed or search results.
Once you've hidden a comment, you can unhide it, delete it, report it, and ban the user. Here's what the options actually mean: Hiding the Facebook comment will keep it hidden from everyone except that person and their friends. They won't know that the comment is hidden, so you can avoid potential fallout.
It also gives you the option to reply to the hidden comment. Now, alternatively, you can delete a comment from your Facebook timeline. That completely removes it, and nobody will see it not you, not your friends, not the person who posted the comment, and not their friends.
Visit www.facebook.com. Log into your account if prompted. Click the drop-down arrow. It's located at the top-right corner of the screen next to the question mark icon. Click on a page you manage. Locate the post with a hidden comment. The comment will be grayed out. ... Click Unhide.
To unhide something on your Timeline, you can always go to your Activity Log and select the filter "Posts You've Hidden". From there, you should be able to toggle settings per post. The link to your Activity Log can be found on your Timeline and consists of all of your Facebook activity.
1 Answer. Facebook has comment spam filters that will, by default, hide certain comments (unless the post owner goes in and manually unhides them). The comments remain in the comment count but don't show up to the public (if it's your post you can see three dots and click to manage the spam posts).
Step 1: Tap your profile picture in the bottom-right corner of the screen. Step 4: Tap the toggle next to Hide Inappropriate Comments to turn this feature on. With the feature turned on, the app will automatically hide comments containing words or phrases often reported as offensive.
