Can I change my LSAT test location?
Log in to your LSAC.org account to choose an available test center in real time. This is the easiest and quickest way to change your test date.
Can I change my LSAT test date?
Yes, if your administration's test date change deadline has not yet passed. The easiest way to change your test date is through your LSAC.org account. However, you may submit a signed and completed Test Date Change form (PDF) or a signed and dated written request instead.
Can I reschedule my LSAT test date?
If you are unable to take the test for which you have registered, you may cancel your registration in one of three ways: Request a Test Date Change (for a fee) by the administration's test date change deadline. Request an LSAT Registration Refund (partial only) by the administration's refund request deadline.
How much does it cost to change your LSAT date?
The basic fees for the LSAT during the 2018-2019 academic year is $190, and those costs may go up for each law school to which you apply. Additional fees include things like test date changes, late registration fees, and hand-scoring of your exam.
When should I take the LSAT for fall 2019?
A good time to take the test is the previous year. For instance, a student who is applying for admission in the fall of 2020, should schedule the test between June-October of 2019.
Do LSAT scores expire?
Like most tests of its kind, the LSAT only remains valid for a certain period of time. The LSAC will keep your scores on file for five years after you take the test.
Can law schools see if you withdraw from LSAT?
However, LSAC now offers a withdrawal option, meaning you can now decide up until the day before the LSAT whether you'll be taking it. If you withdraw, law schools will never even know you were registered for that exam date in the first place.
What happens when you withdraw from LSAT?
If you withdraw your registration, you will not receive a refund. You will be required to pay the full registration fee if you register for another test date.
What happens if you miss your LSAT test?
If you make a late decision not to take the LSAT, you do need to withdraw your registration. If you fail to withdraw by the deadline, then you will be marked absent, and this absence will show up on your record. If you properly withdraw in time, then the exam does not show up on your record at all.
How many times can you withdraw from the LSAT?
As of September 2017, there are no limitations on the number of times you can take the LSAT test. The old policy limited you to three LSAT tests in a two-year period, including cancellations and absences. This policy change may be in consideration of applicants who are reapplying to law school.
