What Gases do you need to be a surveyor?
Applicants must have at least four GCSEs/S grades (A-C/1-3) or equivalent qualifications. Useful first degree subjects include geography, mathematics, economics and physical sciences.

Quantity surveying is never a one-person job in any project. A quantity surveyor is required to be proficient, but not expert, in mathematics. Of course, other characteristics are equally important. Quantity surveyors have to handle tons of construction documents in order to perform their jobs.
How many years does it take to become a quantity surveyor?
Unlike other careers such as Architecture (7+ years), it does not take long to train to become a QS. one year or two years part-time to obtain a GDP if you already have a degree, plus another couple years to become Chartered.
