How do I verify CMG?
The program is available to medical schools at no cost through the EC FMG Medical School Web Portal (EMS WP). For more information or to join, visit Electronic Credentials Verification on this website, or send e-mail to emswpadmin@ecfmg.org.
How long does it take CMG to verify credentials?
Through EPIC, approximately 50% of credentials are verified within 45 days and 75% of credentials are verified within 90 days. When you upload a credential to EPIC, EC FMG will process that credential within five business days.
How long does it take for CMG certification?
EC FMG Certification Standard EC FMG Certificates are issued to applicants approximately two weeks after all of these requirements have been met. The date that the Standard EC FMG Certificate is issued is the date an international medical graduate is considered certified by EC FMG.
How do I check my CMG certification status?
EC FMG will confirm an IMG's certification status when a request is received from a medical licensing authority/state medical board, residency/fellowship program, hospital, or other organization that, in the judgment of EC FMG, has a legitimate interest in such information.
What is verification of credentials?
Verification of Credentials. Primary-source verification is a rigorous, multi-step process that EC FMG employs to ensure the integrity and authenticity of a physician's medical education credentials.
How do I verify a medical degree?
Go to the Federation of State Medical Boards (FSM) website to check the basics with their Domingo.org search function. You will find the doctor's board certifications, education, states with active licenses, and any actions against the physician.
What is CMG verification?
Verification of Credentials. EC FMG verifies every international medical graduate's final medical diploma with the appropriate officials of the medical school that issued the diploma and requests the medical school to provide the final medical school transcript.
What does it mean to be CMG certified?
Through its program of certification, the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (EC FMG) assesses the readiness of international medical graduates to enter residency or fellowship programs in the United States that are accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACME).
