I liked the idea that I can modify a… I liked the idea that I can modify a document with ease, but the yearly rate for educators is too much. I probably would have continued if I was given a reasonable monthly option. I do have a few subscriptions that I keep on a monthly option. So, keep that on mind when you are working with teachers.

A thesis requires a detailed table of contents that lists the headings and page numbers of each section.
A table of contents usually includes the titles or descriptions of first-level headings (chapters in longer works), and often includes second-level headings (sections or A-heads) within the chapters as well, and occasionally even includes third-level headings (subsections or B-heads) within the sections as well.
Usually, the Contents page will come after the Acknowledgements and Abstract, and before the List of figures (if you have one) and the Introduction.

Click where you want to insert the table of contents usually near the beginning of a document. Click References > Table of Contents and then choose an Automatic Table of Contents style from the list.
Click in your document where you want to create the table of contents. If you'd like it to appear on its own page, insert a page break (Ctrl+Enter) before and after inserting the TOC. Click the References tab. In the Table of Contents groups, click Table of Contents.
Click on REFERENCE tab. Click on Table of Contents. Click on Custom Table of Contents. Make sure that Show levels is set to 3. Click on Options. Type a number 1 next to CHPT_title. Remove the numbers next to Heading 1, Heading 2, and Heading 3.
