What is PDF a compliant mean?
PDF/A is an ISO-standardized version of the Portable Document Format (PDF) specialized for use in the archiving and long-term preservation of electronic documents. PDF/A differs from PDF by prohibiting features unsuitable for long-term archiving, such as font linking (as opposed to font embedding) and encryption.
How do I make a PDF compliant?
Open a PDF file that you wish to conform to PDF/A.
Choose File> Save As> More Options> PDF/A.
The Save As Window appears. Click the Settings button.
The Preflight window appears. (A) Choose PDF/A-1b for Federal Court Filings.
Click OK again to save and conform the file.
What is ISO 19005 1 compliant PDF A?
According to the standard ISO 19005-1, PDF/A is a derivative of PDF that “provides a mechanism for representing electronic documents in a manner that preserves their visual appearance over time, independent of the tools and systems used for creating, storing or rendering the files.”
