The signature block is a group of fields. The signature block field cannot be made optional and is always required. By default, the signature block contains both a signature field, and an e-mail field. Account Admins can adjust what fields are included in the signature block.
A signature field allows you to collect electronic signatures from your users. When an entry with a signature is submitted, the signature appears with the rest of the entry information (as well as PDF exports) as an image.
The Place Signature function is used to place signed digital signature fields in documents, whereas the Sign Document function is used to sign existing signature fields.
To prevent users from editing your form fields in a fillable PDF, you must "flatten" or lock the form before saving.
