How do I send a fax from my printer?

When faxing do you need to dial 1?
Dial a leading '1' when sending a fax only if you would dial a '1' for a regular phone call. As fax works over the phone network, all fax numbers are simply phone numbers and should be dialed the same way as a regular phone call.
How do I fax to a number?

What is a valid fax number?
Fax numbers in the US and Canada have the exact same format of a phone number. As a matter of fact they are phone numbers. A 10 digit format will be something like that 212-555-1234. In an eleven digit format add a leading 1 for example: 1-212-555-1234.
How can I send a fax via email?
Open a new email message, type the fax number, followed by @efaxsend.com, into the To: field. Attach your fax document and type a message in the body of the email to use as your cover sheet. Hit Send. Your fax and cover letter will be delivered to your recipient's fax machine.
Do you have to dial 9 before faxing?
Dial the fax number. Check or ask about your machine. The country code (the number 1 for US phones and fax numbers) will also sometimes need to be dialed before local numbers but only when the area code is also required. You will often also need to dial 9 before dialing long distance numbers.

Price of a subscription. (Being forced to write 40 characters or more is absurd.) Also, the survey is too long and time consuming.
