I love using PDFfiller. I believe it is a wonderful program. I use it so often that I started scanning in personal files and paperwork at home to keep me organized. I can fill out anything within just a few moments and it looks like I've spent hours on my documents. The only negative with this program is the process moves a little. Sometimes when I'm rushing to complete documents I doesn't seem to matter what network or computer I use, I still feel like from the time to load a document to the time of completion and sending out there the other parties, its taken me a little too long for my personal opinion but I still use the program religiously to complete just about every document from legal forms that I create to filling out paperwork at the doctor's office for my children. I highly recommend PDFfiller!

Your Rights Non-Compete Agreements. A non-compete agreement is a contract between an employee and employer. While an employer cannot require you to sign a non-compete, they may terminate, or choose not to hire you if you refuse to sign. Courts generally do not approve of non-compete agreements.
Many employers ask employees to sign noncompete agreements promising they will not work for a competitor after leaving their current job. A noncompete agreement won't be enforced if a court find that it is unreasonable. An agreement may be held unreasonable because it: lasts for too long.
A non-compete agreement is not voided if you resign or are fired. If you violate an enforceable non-compete, you could be sued for any actual losses suffered by your ex-employer. In limited situations, a court could even order that you cease any type of activity that is contrary to the clause.
The simple answer is that if you violate a non-compete agreement that is legally valid and enforceable under state law you may end up having to pay money to your former employer. In addition, the employer can also file a lawsuit against you for both money damages and an injunction.
As a practical matter this means that in all but a very few and unusual types of situations, noncompete agreements are not enforceable in California.
Voiding a non-compete contract is possible in certain circumstances. For instance, if you can prove that you never signed the contract, or if you can demonstrate that the contract is against the public interest, you may be able to void the agreement.
Show Termination without Cause The courts do not always rule consistently on this point, but if you are part of a mass layoff or have been terminated from employment and yet did nothing wrong, any non-compete agreement you signed may be considered null and void.
Even though a non-compete agreement can still be enforced when you are fired, you could potentially get out of it if the employer breaches your contract. You can also get out of the agreement if the employer fired you for a reason that is not just or fair.
Filing a lawsuit against a former employer who violates a non-compete and litigating that violation will ultimately lead to the court issuing a decision that concludes the agreement is valid and enforceable, and the former employee violated it.
Sometimes, companies feel that it is necessary to include a geographic restriction in their Non-Compete Agreement. A geographic restriction means that the employee cannot compete with their previous employer or solicit clients that were doing business with that employer within a specific area.
A non-compete agreement is a contract between an employee and employer. While an employer cannot require you to sign a non-compete, they may terminate, or choose not to hire you if you refuse to sign. Courts generally do not approve of non-compete agreements.
Non-competes are enforceable in most courts as long as they are reasonable in scope and serve to protect the employer's business interests. A new ban on non-competes in California, however, means employees may have the power to void them.
A noncompete agreement can't last forever. To be enforceable in most states, the agreement must be reasonable. The amount of time considered to be "reasonable” depends on the state. In general though, noncompete agreements that last longer than two or three years might not be enforced by a court.
In contrast, in many industries, a Non-Compete with a duration of 6-months will be considered reasonable, and therefore enforceable. The general rule is that the duration of the agreement should not exceed the time reasonably necessary to protect the employer's legitimate business interests.
Because non-compete agreements interfere with people's ability to make a living, the courts don't particularly like them. An employer must meet exacting standards before a non-compete clause will hold up in a court of law.
