THIS THING IS A DREAM (although I did have some kind of issue opening up a file.) I used the MERGE function and it merged some files I didn't need. That was weird. So I'm editing one page at a time instead. That seems to be working.

Phenomenal Customer Service Due to the pandemic, like a lot of people I was forced to work from home. My employer doesn't adequately support us in this task and so one day as a matter of urgency I started the free pdfFiller trial for a month. I set a reminder to cancel my subscription but I didn't complete the cancellation. When the annual subscription fee was taken from my bank account I was devastated, it's a deduction I couldn't afford and my employer would not reimburse me. The team at pdfFiller were amazing. They ensured I successfully cancelled the subscription and they also processed a refund. It should be remembered that numbers zero to nine must be written out. For example, zero, one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight and nine. When the numbers reach double figures, they should be written as numerals. For example, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 20, 50, 100, and so on.
Insert one 'tab' between the speaker name and the spoken dialogue as you transcribe the recording. Insert a line break between each paragraph as you transcribe the recording. Bold each speaker label as you transcribe the recording.
Find a Good Transcription Software Program. When you need to pause the audio to type or rewind it to take another listen, clumsy clicks of the mouse don't cut it. Use an Autocorrect Tool. Practice Your Speed Typing. Use a High-Quality Headset. Find a Quiet Work Environment.
Write the name of the interviewer, interviewee, time, date and location, where it took place. Interviews are generally in question and answer format. Transcribe each and every word. Insert a paragraph in between whenever an interviewee makes a new idea. After finishing the initial draft, listen to the tape again.
Listen with a good-quality headset or earphones. Slow down and speed up the recording may help to distinguish the words better. Enhance the audio with a sound editor.
Use the numeral plus cents for amounts under one dollar. Examples: I need 15 cents. Use the dollar sign plus the numeral for dollar amounts under one million. Use the word dollar only once for a range up to ten. Use the dollar sign and numerals when transcribing a range of currency over ten dollars.
The average person can transcribe one audio hour in about 4 hours. It takes most people about one hour to transcribe 15 minutes of a clear, slow audio file.
Use a dash to indicate an abrupt interruption mid-sentence by another speaker. Never use a dash to indicate a stutter. Leave out stutters in Clean Verbatim. With spoken dialogue do not transcribe verbal tics (like habitual Memphis) that interrupt the primary speaker's sentence.
