You will have a ready-to-use document in just a few minutes, and get the extra tools you need to further modify it, share it, and store it securely.
Mac computers have a default program for working with documents called Preview, but it’s limited to viewing PDFs and performing dead-simple adjustments. It can meet your basic needs, but if you have more advanced tasks, such as creating difficult agreements or interactive web surveys, Preview is not the answer. This is where most turn towards pdfFiller.
pdfFiller is a excellent option for macOS users to create, change, and store documents online. It has advantages that captivate, like integrations with cloud services, a user-friendly interface, and an extensive library of fillable forms. For instance, you can attach a document from your Google Drive or select one of the 25 million forms in the pdfFiller Library, then quickly Encrypt and Esign PDF and save it to your account. Further, you can also install the pdfFiller iOS mobile app for constant access to your account and documents even when away from your desk. Don't settle for less. Install the app now, sync on your devices, and use it anywhere, at any time!

Questions & Answers

Below is a list of the most common customer questions. If you can’t find an answer to your question, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
To un-encrypt a PDF file, follow these steps: 1) Locate the encrypted PDF file you want to unencrypt, and open it in Preview on your Mac. 3) Once you're in the file, go to File > Export from the Menu Bar. 4) Make sure to rename the file, then make sure the Encrypt option is unchecked.
In the Finder on your Mac, open a window, then Control-click the item you want to encrypt in the sidebar. Choose Encrypt [item name] from the shortcut menu. Create a password for the disk and click Encrypt Disk.
Encrypting a PDF can be accomplished easily using Apple's Preview application which comes bundled with every Mac. Once you've encrypted a PDF, when you look at its icon in the Finder, you'll now see a padlock icon which indicates that it's encrypted.
So to detect PDF Encryption, go to the end of the file and search upwards for the first line containing just the word 'trailer', then search downwards again for the string '/Encrypt'. If it's there, the file is encrypted, otherwise not.
