Please carefully read these Regulations. Applications for registration are processed on a first-come, first-served basis; the maximum time period for applying for registration is ten working days from the date of issue. Please note that to the full satisfaction of the Board, the following applicants (who also comprise the required number of members of the Board) are eligible to apply with effect from 1st October 2017: • a person who holds a permanent license to practice as a Gas fitter from a competent authority such as the Civilian Fire Officers Registration Board and who has held that license for two years • a person who holds a permanent license (i.e., a valid license) to practice as a Gas fitter from a competent authority such as the Civilian Fire Officers Registration Board who has held that license for two years and has not already been registered as a gas fitter for that purpose • a person who holds a non- permanent license or permanent license to practice as a Gas fitter from a competent authority such as the Civilian Fire Officers Registration Board who is already registered with that Board and is not an applicant. (The applicant must have provided their license number when applying; the Board will not consider it valid if it is not in the public domain). The applications must include the following information: • the date of application. • the applicant's full name. • the registered address of the license holder. • the number of license holders in the applicant's team for professional gas fitting services (i.e., for each registered household, including for each employee). • any other relevant information required by the Regulations, including, but not limited to, the applicant's employment certificate and employment date in the registered company (if any), as well as an abstract of the current license holder's full name and the last date that the applicant was a company official. License holders are expected to ensure that their private medical, personal, financial, and professional details, including their bank details, are up to date. They must ensure that they have sufficient funds to secure their license and to pay for gas fitting related costs, including any fees and any penalties, including fines and fees imposed by the Board for non-compliance with the requirements for registration. License holders must provide a valid driver's license or identification card for verification purposes for people applying for a new license.
