He was voted team captain in 2002, and participated in Team Florida State Championships.
Gavin also volunteered on the Greenville High School Swim and Swim teams, while also serving as a Swimming
Coach at the Greenville Swim Club of the Greenville/Winston County Aquatic Club, which is a
coaches/administrative office for the Greenville Swim and Swim Club and the Greenville University Swim Club.
Gavin loved to swim for fun, as a coach and as a family.
During the summer of 2002, Gavin was killed in a bicycle accident.
At his memorial service he was commended for his life of swimming which made it more enjoyable, and for his commitment to
education.
Now the family of Gavin is asking the community's help through this scholarship in Gavin's memory.
