In person. To join in person come along to any of our libraries and bring one form of proof of address. You will be given your library card and a PIN, and you can start using the library and online library services straight away.
Library cards are available for free to anyone who lives in Virginia. Cards may be issued to those who live out of state for a fee of $15.
Patrons must visit the Library of Virginia in person to receive a library card.
