ACM/ICPC is a team-based competition with certain requirements to the participants: only post-secondary students and first-year post-graduate students no older than 24 are eligible; each team consists of three members.
What is the prize money for the ICPC?
The World Champion team will be awarded $15,000. Each of the other three Gold Medal teams will be awarded $7,500. Each Silver Medal team will be awarded $6,000.

How to get selected for ICPC?
First, you have to qualify for the Preliminary online Round conducted on Codedrills (since last two years). Every college's top team is selected if they have at least one question solved during the contest, with the number of teams selected based on the number of available seats in that particular region.
Is ICPC free or paid?
Students have to pay registration fees, which vary from site to site. Depending upon the results of the online round, each side will decide the number of teams to be invited to the onsite round.
Is a calculator allowed in ICPC?
At the ICPC World Finals, no printed materials or electronic devices may be brought into the contest area. On-line reference materials will be made available as described in the Programming Environment Web Site.
Who is eligible for ICPC coding competition?
The eligibility requirement of the ACM ICPC contest is: Any student, who is good in computer programming language and is willing to participate. The student should be enrolled with some specific institute for a degree programme. The student can only represent one institute in a specific calendar period.
