How to fill out cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) for adults:

01
Start by checking the scene for any potential dangers or hazards. Ensure the area is safe for both you and the victim before proceeding.
02
Approach the adult victim and assess their responsiveness. Gently tap their shoulders and ask loudly, "Are you okay?" If there is no response, proceed to the next step.
03
Call for emergency medical help immediately. If you are alone, call for help before beginning CPR. If someone is with you, ask them to call while you initiate CPR.
04
Place the victim on their back on a firm surface. Kneel beside them and position your shoulders directly above their chest.
05
Place the heel of one hand on the center of the victim's chest, slightly above the lower half of the breastbone. Interlock your fingers and position your free hand on top of the other hand.
06
Begin chest compressions by pushing hard and fast in a downward motion. Use your body weight to apply pressure, allowing the chest to fully recoil after each compression. Aim for a rate of at least 100-120 compressions per minute.
07
After 30 chest compressions, open the victim's airway by tilting their head back and lifting their chin. Pinch the victim's nose shut and give two rescue breaths, making sure to watch for their chest to rise with each breath given.
08
Resume chest compressions immediately after delivering the rescue breaths. Continue with cycles of 30 compressions followed by two rescue breaths until professional help arrives or the victim shows signs of life.
09
Remember to recheck the victim periodically for any signs of responsiveness or normal breathing. If they start breathing normally, place them in the recovery position and monitor their condition until help arrives.
