Before installing the new oil filter, apply a small amount of new oil onto the rubber gasket.

Screw the new oil filter onto the engine and tighten it by hand.

Pour the recommended amount of new oil into the engine through the oil filler hole.

Check the oil level using the dipstick and add more oil if necessary.

Screw the oil filler cap back on and close the hood.

Dispose of the old oil and oil filter properly at a designated recycling facility.
