For pdfFiller’s FAQs

Below is a list of the most common customer questions. If you can’t find an answer to your question, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
Resume space is valuable, but because prime real estate is the top of the page, the most important information should come first. For many job seekers, it makes sense to list information in reverse-chronological order based on dates, placing the newest information first and the oldest last.
Include positions from earlier in your career that are relevant to the role you are applying for. It's acceptable to include 10 - 15 years of experience on your resume. In many industries, sharing experience that dates back more than 15 years just isn't very helpful for hiring managers.
Focus on functional skills rather than dates. Not everyone agrees, but some career experts think that putting dates on your resume is TMI (too much information). Toni Bowers writes on Tech Republic, Leave off the dates. Don't include your birth date, graduation date, or, if you can avoid it, dates of employment.
Typically, if you worked at a job at least a year, it's not necessary to include the months you were employed. ... For most positions, it would be perfectly acceptable to list your employment as "2001-2006." If you were employed for less than a year, you'll need to include specific months.

Don't include your age or date of birth on your CV. It is not necessary, and including it could indicate to recruiters that you are out of touch with current requirements. Don't include an email address which clearly incorporates your year of birth see above.
Spell out months when listing them on your resume. Do not abbreviate, such as Dec. 2009. Instead write the full December 2009.
If it's a standard degree/certification overall, or in your field, it's fine to abbreviate. If you are an LMT, for example, but applying for an unrelated position, I'd just leave it off the resume, or, if it's listed somewhere for some reason, I'd abbreviate and then spell it out.
