What is a certification process?
Certification is the formal attestation or confirmation of certain characteristics of an object, person, or organization. This confirmation is often, but not always, provided by some form of external review, education, assessment, or audit. Accreditation is a specific organization's process of certification.

The Certified Professional in Training Management (CPTM) program is the only credential focused specifically on the role of the training manager. As a CPTM, you will gain the skills needed to manage corporate training programs that align with your company's goals now and in the future.
What is difference between certification and accreditation?
Certification represents a written assurance by a third party of the conformity of a product, process or service to specified requirements. Accreditation, on the other hand, is the formal recognition by an authoritative body of the competence to work to specified standards.
What is the difference between a provisional and standard teaching certificate?
The Standard Teaching Certificate will be a five-year certificate, not a six- year certificate. The Standard Teaching Certificate renewals will be for five years, not three years. Additionally, the names of existing Provisional Teaching Certificates and Provisional renewals will be changed to Standard.
What is a standard teaching license?
Standard Certificate. The Standard Teaching Certificate, previously called the Provisional Certificate, is the first teaching certificate available to Michigan teacher candidates. The Standard Certificate is valid for five years from the date of issue and can be renewed indefinitely.
What is a non provisional teaching license?
Note: If an initial license is issued following a state-approved teacher preparation program and is valid for full-time teaching assignments, it is considered a non-provisional license for the purposes of the Reciprocal Teaching License even if the state has additional requirements before the certificate is "cleared".
