Amazing Customer Service While I was reviewing a couple of unauthorized charges on my PayPal account I noticed they were from PDF filler. Upon further investigation as to what PDF filler is, I realized that this was due to something a professor from a course I had taken last year had required the class to use to complete an assignment. He assured us that though we may need to put in our personal information, the service we were using would be "free". I did not realize that was then turned into a renewable purchase fee. I contacted PDF filler to dispute the charges and explained what had happened. This company responded to my email with genuine kindness within a couple of hours to assist me with providing a refund upon receipt of a response providing verification information. I emailed them the information and again, within a couple of hours, I received a response that I had been refunded the fee. I appreciate how professional, considerate, and amazingly responsive this company has been- the whole process was quick and painless and I will certainly consider using PDF Filler in the future should I need such a service!!

Here are some examples of types of change orders in construction: Budget: When any changes are made to the amount of money a client can pay or the amount that a contractor or subcontractor needs to complete a project. Timeline: When a construction job is expected to take longer or to be completed sooner than expected.
Also note that when general contractors and subcontractors grow and increase their annual volume, their total overhead and profit markup generally decreases. When it gets low enough, they can make a little money on change order work, but not enough to compensate for the hassle and disruption.
Markups vary from one contractor to the next and possibly from one project to the next. But as a general guide, the typical markup on materials will be between 7.5 and 10%. However, some contractors will mark up materials as much as 20 percent, ing to the Corporate Finance Institute.
Most general contractors are looking at about a 35% margin, so they need a markup of 54%, or 1.54. Subs can often get a profit margin of 50%, so they need a markup of 100% or 2x, as shown in the table on the right. For some contractors, they have 35% gross profit and 25% goes to overhead and 10% is left in the company.
The cost of a change order is the difference between the original contract price and the revised contract price, and it can include direct and indirect costs. Direct costs are the expenses that are directly related to the change order, such as materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractors.
6 things every change order should include Project and contact information. Dates of the change. Details of the work. Updated schedule. Cost of the change. Updated contract value. Match the payment application. Get it in writing — and save it.
