At first it can be a little overwhelming with all the options but once you get the hang of it is pretty essay. I really like that it saves all your files too, just in case.

Click Contracts tab in the header pane to open the Contract list view page.
Click New Contracts button.
From the New Contract form, specify the Contract Name.
Specify the Contract Number.
Specify the Active Period (Start date and End date) of the contract using the calendar icon.
