Answer to my prayers. TurboTax, IRS, other www sites gave me horrors. I started your site one day and somehow decided to leave and why I decided to go back to those other sites again was a HUGE mistake ... it all gave me horrors. I prayed again this morning and low and behold, your site was simple as apples to apples. I gave God the biggest smile and thank you for solving my nightmare to fill out the contractors 1099-misc for 2016. Late I am and was because of my health, and the contractor didn't sign the W-9 form which I had waited for which he finally emailed it to me. One question here with this form finished, do you send IRs their copy or do I need to do it myself? Pls respond a.s.a.p., I want to send it today if I need to do this. Thanks, Janet Mac Neal

After providing a full citation of a periodical, you may use ID. or supra in subsequent citations. Use ID. to refer to periodical material cited in the immediately preceding citation. Otherwise, use the supra form (Rule 16.9).
idem is a Latin term meaning “the same”. It is commonly abbreviated as id., which is particularly used in legal citations to denote the previously cited source (compare ibid.). It is also used in academic citations to replace the name of a repeated author.
After providing a full citation of a periodical, you may use ID. or supra in subsequent citations. Use ID. to refer to periodical material cited in the immediately preceding citation. Otherwise, use the supra form (Rule 16.9).
”I'd.” is an all-purpose short form citation that may be used for any cited authority except internal cross-references. “I'd.” always refers to the immediately proceeding cited authority, either in the same footnote or the previous footnote so long as it is the only authority cited in the proceeding footnote.
As with cases, there are two short form options for statutes: I'd.: Used only if the statute you are citing is found immediately before the current citation. Do not use “at” if citing a difference section of the statute. Instead, use “I'd.” then the new section or subsection number.
I'd., (Latin, short for “idem” and “made”, “the same”) refers to another page in the previous citation. Ibid., (Latin, short for “ibidem”, meaning “the same place”) refers to the exact same location in the previous citation. Example: Roe v.
o I'd. is underlined/italicized (including the period, but only capitalized at the start of a sentence. BUT: do not include a space between the final period and a quotation mark.
In English, both letters should be capitalized (“ID”). The lower case word “id” has a specific meaning that does not invoke the meaning “identifier,” or “identification.” In documentation, it should be spelled out (ID abbreviates two different words, after all), or be in all caps.
