You can see it by looking at your personal checks or signing in to your account online. Your account number is private and unique to your bank account. The check number is usually the last set of numbers on your personal check. It's also the shortest set of numbers on the check, typically 3 or 4 digits long.
Find the routing number on a check At the bottom of a check, you will see three groups of numbers. The first group is your routing number, the second is your account number and the third is your check number.
If you don't have a check, you may find your account number on your monthly bank statement. Look at the top of the document for a series of numbers labeled account number.
The account number is located on the bottom of your check. There should be three sets of numbers in a special computer-readable font at the bottom: The first number on the left is your bank routing number. The second (middle) number is your account number.
To spot a fake check, look for a bank logo and address on the front of the check. If there isn't both a logo and address for the bank, the check is likely fake. Also, examine the check number at the top right-hand corner of the check. If there isn't one, the check is fake.
Find a recent bank statement and look for a 10-12 digit number labeled Account Number. It's usually located at the top of the document on either the right- or left-hand side. Use a mobile banking website or app to find the number online.
