How do I merge footer sections in Word?
Click the Page Layout tab. In the Page Setup group, choose the appropriate break option from the Breaks dropdown. In Word 2003, choose Break from the Insert menu. Choose a break from the resulting dialog and click OK.
How do I remove a section break in Word without losing formatting?
Unfortunately, there is no intrinsic way to delete section breaks and maintain the formatting represented by that break. There is a workaround you can use, however: Place the insertion point at the end of the document, just after the final section break.
How do you remove sections from a Word document?
Click Home > (Show/Hide Editing Marks) to show all paragraph marks and hidden formatting symbols in current document. Place the cursor before the specified section break, and then press the Delete key to remove it. For removing more section breaks, please repeat above Step 2.
How do I change footer sections in Word?
Insert section breaks. See ARCHIVED: In Microsoft Word, what are sections? Click anywhere in the section of your document for which you want to create a different header or footer. In Word 2010 and 2007, select the Insert tab, and then select either Header or Footer. Then, select Edit Header or Edit Footer.

Click Edit Header or Edit Footer, depending on which tool you clicked in step 3. Click the Next tool.
