How do I combine transcripts?
Select Browse Document and open any transcript file. While the transcript file is open, select Combine Transcripts from the File menu. The Combine Transcripts dialog is displayed. The Select Transcripts to Combine dialog is displayed.
Can a university hold your transcripts?
Why do colleges withhold academic transcripts? The withholding of transcripts by colleges and universities is a common and widespread practice. If you owe money directly to your college, it can hold your official transcripts hostage until you pay the debt. Many employers require an official transcript, as well.
Can a college hold my unofficial transcript?
Is It Legal for a School to Withhold Your Transcript? The short answer is yes. The transcript is the property of your school and not your personal property. Therefore, they are within their right to refuse a transcript to you on the basis that you've not paid what you owe to them in full.
How do you get transcripts from a closed college?
If the school has closed, visit the department of higher education in the state in which the college you attended was located. There should be a link to request transcripts from closed schools.
Can my university withhold transcripts?
Schools typically withhold academic records including official transcripts from students who owe them money. A school may even withhold transcripts if you default on your federal student loan, even though you don't owe that money to the school itself.

But if you owe on loans or grants as a result of your attendance at your old school, that could prevent you from receiving financial aid. Without financial aid, you may not be able to afford college.
