ROW Permit is a configuration of Survey123 for Arc GIS that can be used by contractors and property owners to apply for a permit required prior to doing any work in the public right of way.
Right-of-Way Permit. A right of way (ROW) is a permit issued by the National Park Service (NPS) that allows a utility to pass over, under, or through NPS property.
Right of way is County property, and certain improvements are not allowed without first obtaining County approval. A right of way permit gives you legal access to work within a County-owned right of way or easement. A permit ensures that work is done safely and meets codes and regulations.
The right of way (ROW) is the area owned and/or controlled by the City and typically includes the street surface, sidewalks, and grassy areas between pavement and property lines.
The function of the Street Activity Permit Office (SAP) is to issue permits for street festivals, block parties, farmers markets, commercial or promotional events, and other events on the City's streets, sidewalks and pedestrian plazas while protecting the interests of the City, the community and the public.
A street use permit is required to exclusively use any City road right-of-way, that is, a street, a sidewalk, an alley, a walkway, a back lane, a boulevard, or traffic control set-up.
To apply for a street activity permit, go to E-Apply. You will be asked to create an account and fill out a questionnaire regarding your requested permit. The application process is complete once you pay a non-refundable processing fee ($25.50) by credit or debit card.
Permits By Mail. DOT accepts and processes applications by mail for sidewalk repair by private homeowners. If you are using a contractor to make the repairs, the contractor must file for the permit. To apply by mail, completely fill out and sign the Application for Roadway/Sidewalk Permit (PDF).
