hello and welcome to the alula webinar my name is Kevin Hoffman and I am the content marketing manager for Illuma today we will be talking about the alula app a seamless integration of security video and automation in one intuitive interface on today's agenda first we're going to cover introductions then we'll give you an overview of the a little platform we'll talk about how we deliver a unified experience and then we'll get to the meat of the presentation a video that walks you through the app including dashboard groups locations and user device management and as always we'll save plenty of time at the end for your Q&A first let's meet our presenter his name is Dave main is the VP of Product Management at alula he has more than 20 years in the wireless device networking business he's worked for such companies as digi international GE security interlocks and Gibson guitars he's launched three interactive service offerings through partnerships with alarm calm eye control and home assurance he served as general manager of the interactive services division of GE security he's been issued three patents and joined alula in April 2014 welcome to the webinar Dave thanks Kevin glad to be here did I get that right are we still at three pads I know you add another one in the pipeline yeah it's a three maybe four or five now we've been pretty active on the intellectual property frontier a tallulah and and so hopefully you'll see many more to come well just let me know when it's time to update the slide I don't want to short-short you any of your patents no that's fine before we get started Dave why don't you tell us a little bit about alula yeah happy to do that and and really the focus of today is going to be looking at our integrated app which as you see on the bottom really ties security automation and video together in a very unified fashion but the company might be a new brand to many people that are on the call today it was created through the acquisition of two companies IP dated hell out of Houston and resolution products out of the Minneapolis area we were in Hudson Wisconsin and just relocated the st. Paul we have about 3,500 partners and 300,000 homes and businesses on our network and I think you know what's unique about us is we are vertically integrated we own everything from the sensors all the way up to the services platform we're building an integrated IOT platform it's aimed at connected home and connected business solutions but it's really built for the professional security dealer with the professional security dealer in mind we base everything on IT connectivity Internet Protocol and so we're internet connected we have cellular backup we have Wi-Fi so we're aiming at multiple paths of connectivity up to our cloud and when you get to our cloud we have management platforms that our dealers can use to bring on new accounts to manage their devices and to avoid truck rules we have a series of applications that are built around it and all of...
