Symptom: Same values throughout the row / column of a data table. Solution: Use the Formula→Trace Dependents to check what cells are linking to your input cells. How do data tables work?
A data table is a range of cells in which you can change values in some of the cells and come up with different answers to a problem. A good example of a data table employs the PMT function with different loan amounts and interest rates to calculate the affordable amount on a home mortgage loan.
Can't change part of a data table Excel?
Clear a Data Table. Because the data table values are in an array, you cannot edit or clear individual cells. If you try to change one cell, you will see an error message — “Cannot change part of a data table.” If you want to remove the entire table, or the resulting values, follow the steps below.
