How do you qualify for subsidized health insurance?
In states that have expanded Medicaid coverage, your household income must be below 138% of the federal poverty level to qualify. In all states, your household income must be between 100% and 400% of the federal poverty level to qualify for a premium tax credit that can lower your insurance costs.
What is the minimum income to qualify for Obama care?
Qualifying for Obamacare subsidies You must be a US citizen or legal resident. You cannot be currently incarcerated. Your income can be no more than 400 percent of the federal poverty level. According to the Federal Register, in 2018 the poverty level for an individual is $12,140.
