Protect header and footer with VBA code. Hold down the ALT + F11 keys to open the Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications window. Then double click ThisWorkbook under the Project section to open a blank module, and then copy and paste the following code into the module:

Locking header or title columns allows you keep them visible while you scroll through the spreadsheet. Locking columns in Excel is an option called freezing panes. This toll is available for locking rows by following the same steps to lock a column, except you highlight the desired row.
There is no such thing as locking header in Excel. If you are referring to the header and footer like they are in word, it is in Excel also, but is not visible at all times like how it is in word. You can use that function. You can go to header/footer in the view menu.
To freeze both rows and columns, select the upper left cell in the data you don't want to freeze. Then choose Freeze Panes from the menu. Now the rows above this cell, and the columns to the left of this cell will be frozen, and remain visible as you scroll. Choose To unfreeze Panes to reset.
To lock one row only, choose the View tab, and then click Freeze Top Row. To lock one column only, choose the View tab, and then click Freeze First Column. To lock more than one row or column, or to lock both rows and columns at the same time, choose the View tab, and then click Freeze Panes.
