Also known as computer certificates, machine certificates (as the name implies) give the system instead of the user the ability to do something out of the ordinary. The main purpose for machine certificates is authentication, both client-side and server-side.
Select Run from the Start menu, and then enter CERTAM. Msc. The Certificate Manager tool for the local device appears. To view your certificates, under Certificates — Local Computer in the left pane, expand the directory for the type of certificate you want to view.
Open your phone's Settings app. Tap Security & location Advanced. Under “Credential storage,” tap Install from storage. In the top left, tap Menu. Under “Open from,” tap where you saved the certificate. Tap the file. Type a name for the certificate. Pick VPN and apps or Wi-Fi.
Open the MMC (Start > Run > MMC). Go to File > Add / Remove Snap In. Double Click Certificates. Select Computer Account. Select Local Computer > Finish. Click OK to exit the Snap-In window.
Navigate to Server Certificates. In the center menu, click the Server Certificates icon under the Security section near the bottom. Select Create a New Certificate. In the right Actions menu, click Create Certificate Request. Enter your CSR details. Generate the Order.
To request a certificate from your new CA, click the Request a certificate link. On the Request a Certificate page, click the advanced certificate request hotlink. Finally, click the Create and submit a request to this CA link.
