Sometimes we hear that someone got into somebody’s mailbox, hacked into a database or stole private account information. Any user of this or that cloud storage can pose a perfectly valid question: ‘Are my documents safe?’ or ‘What measures can I take to protect my sensitive information?’ Our answer to the first question is unconditionally affirmative, and if this is not enough, you can additionally protect your documents with two-factor authentication in your Encrypted folder. To activate the Encrypted folder, select it in MY BOX and enter your cell phone number.

You will immediately receive an activation code via text message. Enter the activation code and click Verify to create a password.

Create and confirm your password to open the folder.

To add documents to the Encrypted folder, drag them from any other folder. After you’ve finished working with your protected documents, close the Encrypted folder by clicking the key icon. It will also automatically lock after 10 minutes of inactivity.

To access the documents in the Encrypted folder, you will have to enter your password again.

How to add passwords and permissions to PDF files: Open a file in Acrobat and choose “Tools” > “Protect.” Select whether you want to restrict editing with a password or encrypt the file with a certificate or password. Set password or security method as desired. Click “OK” and then click “Save.”
On Windows, just follow these steps: Right-click your PDF. Select Properties. Choose Read-only. Click OK.
Edit the PDF Security Setting 1 – Click Properties under File. 2 – Click Security, then enter the Document Security. 3 – Uncheck the Enable copying of text, images, and other content under Permission.
The "Permissions" setting controls restrictions that can be placed on the PDF file. To prevent the text and graphics from being copied from the PDF file, uncheck the "Allow text and graphics to be copied" option. You must always enter a master password when security options are enabled.
To edit secured PDFs effectively, open the PDF in Google Chrome > Select Print > Choose “Save as PDF” in the Destination drop-down > Save a password-free copy. Then, upload the PDF to PDFgear PDF Editor for editing.
One-click option to protect a PDF with a password Open the PDF in Acrobat. Do any of the following: Go to All tools > Protect a PDF > Protect with password. In the Protect Using Password dialog box, select if you want to set the password for viewing or editing the PDF. Type and retype your password. Select Apply.
How to secure a PDF. Launch Adobe Acrobat and select the Protect tool from the Tools menu. Choose your protection settings. Once you've protected your file, save it as a separate copy for safekeeping. Select Share With Others from the top toolbar. Add the recipients' email addresses. Select Send to share your file.
