It was easy to use however I believe as a snowbird they should have another way to fill out the 8840 without having to sign up for this form filler. As it turns out we tried to fill out on line and the signature part wouldn't work. We ended up printing out the form and filling it by hand and mailing it in.

You will be unable to send the letter unless you buy stamps. Stamps are like a fee for sending the letter. Usually, a regular postage stamp will be enough, but if the letter is heavier than usual, or is going to another country, then you will most likely need to buy extra postage.
On the envelope swamp the names of sender and recipient! Put the real recipient in the field of the sender and make up a non-existing address for the official recipient field. NO STAMP!! Send it off and wait for the letter to 'return' to the 'sender'.
Using the USPS Website (Priority Mail) To purchase postage and print your shipping label from the former option, head to USPS's website, hover over Mail & Ship, and click on Click-N-Ship. From here, you'll either need to log in to your USPS account if you already have one, or create an account.
That's it! NOTE: For added convenience, customers using our Premier Plan or higher can use our custom Certified Mail Forms and Envelopes which allow Certified Mail to be prepared without a trip to the Post Office. To see how to print postage for Certified Mail when using these forms click here.
Send Certified Mail from Your Post Office. Visit a local post office and obtain a Certified Mail Form 3800. This form contains a green and white sticker that includes a barcode, which will allow you to track your mail through the USPS.
If you're wondering how to mail a letter, you no longer have to go to the Post Office to send mail. Now, with Mail form, you can mail a letter online, right from your computer. All you need is the letter (in PDF form), the mailing address, and a credit card, and you'll be off to the races in moments.
