What can I do if my landlord didn't sign the lease?

There is no lease, if both parties have not signed it. If you are trying to lease a property, and you have signed the lease, but have not yet paid any rent, and the landlord has not signed the lease, then you do not have a lease, and you are not renting the property.

Do all owners need to sign a lease?

The lease should be signed by all adults living on the property and by the property manager or landlord. If a co-signer is part of the rental agreement, they need to sign the lease along with the tenant.

Is lease valid if not signed by all owners?

Broadly speaking, the lease will be enforceable against the party or parties who signed the lease, even if others did not. It may also provide that it is not valid unless countersigned by the landlord, meaning that even after the tenants sign the landlord may be able to reject the lease.

What if I never signed my lease?

If you never signed a lease, you are a statutory tenant, which likely means that you're a month-to-month tenant with basic duties of care and notice, outlined by the residential landlord-tenant act in your jurisdiction.

Is an unsigned commercial lease valid?
