For pdfFiller’s FAQs
Below is a list of the most common customer questions. If you can’t find an answer to your question, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
How do you discolor paper?
Choose your paper carefully. You will get very different results with different types of paper. Crumple it up! Crumpling the paper gives it a lot more texture when it soaks up the tea or coffee stain. Soak it in Tea or Coffee. We usually add about 2 tablespoons of coffee to 2 cups of warm water. Dry it out.
How do you make paper look old and yellow?
For yellow, I recommend taking a cup of water and mixing brown and yellow paint into it. Brush this solution onto the paper using a paint brush. Let it dry. This will probably have a better “yellowing” effect than using coffee.

How do you make paper look old with tea?
To age paper with tea, start by placing the paper on a baking sheet to prevent spillage. Next, steep 1-2 black tea bags in a cup of boiling water for about 5 minutes. Then, dab both sides of the paper with the tea bags until the paper is fully saturated with liquid.
How do you make an envelope look old?
Step 1: Sand the Edges. First, we're going to sand down the areas around the edges of the envelopes. Step 2: Bake the Paper. Once you have a large stack of scuffed pieces, separate them into short stacks of 5-10 pieces and place them on a clean baking pan. Step 3: Vertical Coffee Staining. Step 4: Fold, Spindle, Mutilate.
How do you stain paper to make it look old?
Preheat oven to the lowest setting. Crumple up your piece of paper into a ball, then smooth it out and place in your baking sheet. Pour hot coffee over your paper. Sprinkle instant coffee over your paper. Let stand for a few minutes, letting the coffee crystals “blossom.”
