Select the cell with the drop-down list. If you have multiple cells with drop-down lists that you want to delete, you can use Ctrl+Left click to select them. Click Data >Data Validation. On the Settings tab, click Clear All. Click OK.
Highlight all the text you want to remove formatting from. If you want to clean up an entire document, hit Ctrl + A on your keyboard to select all. On the Home tab of the Ribbon, look for the Styles group on the right side. Click the down arrow button next to the styles. Choose Clear Formatting.

Just copy Heading 1 as a new style and apply it. Or copy it to Normal. If you have a lot of headings and want to remove the formatting for all of it, simply to a Select All from the tool pane and from Paragraph menu change outline level to "body text" as suggested by the previous posters.
