Open Preview and choose Preview > Preferences > Signatures. On your keyboard, press Cmd + Ctrl + Shift + 4 and then release the keys. Let go of the trackpad. Open a Pages file and click in the file where you want to put your signature.
Open the PDF file you need to sign in Preview. Click on the Markup icon ( ) and then the signature ( ) icon. Click on Create Signature > Click Here to Begin. Draw your signature on the trackpad. Click on the signature created to insert it into the PDF document.
If you're using iCloud, go to ~/Library/Mobile Documents/com~apple~mail/Data/MailData/Signatures/ If not using iCloud, head to ~/Library/Mail/V2/Mandate/Signatures/ or ~/Library/Mail/V3/MailData/Signatures/ if you are using El Capitan already.
Another easy way to get to the folder location of your Outlook signatures is to open Outlook and navigate to File > Options > Mail. When you see the “Signatures" button, hold Ctrl and click on the button. This will open the folder location of your saved Outlook signature files.
Open your scanner Connect your scanner to your Mac, plug it in, and turn it on. Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, then click Printers & Scanners. Select your scanner in the list at the left, then click Open Scanner on the right.
Confirm the following requirements for the scan to email feature. Start the scan. Open Finder , click Go in the top menu bar, click Applications, and then double-click Image Capture.
Open Image Capture. Select your scanner from the pane on the left. Image Capture will automatically warm up the scanner. Select the correct scanning options in the right-most pane. Click Scan to start your scan.
Make sure your printer is on and connected to your Mac with a USB cable or local wireless network. Open Finder, select Applications, and then look for HP Easy Scan. If HP Easy Scan displays in the list, open it. On the upper bar, click HP Easy Scan, and then click Check for Updates.
Restart your computer and printer. Click the Apple menu icon, and then click System Preferences. Click Printers and Scanner / Print and Scan or Print and Fax. Right-click the blank space in the Printers list, and then click Reset printing system.
(Update: macOS 10.15. 3 contains fix) HP Easy Scan is not currently supported in macOS Catalina. Invoking a scan from the computer works fine. You can use Image Capture or HP Easy Scan to invoke the scanner from the computer though.
