I found this by accident trying to find a 1500 free medical form but wasn't looking forward to filling it out by hand. We are a dental office just starting to use medical coding for new procedures. I've only used it a few times, but I think that I might be using it more over the next couple of years, as my daughter finishes high school and goes through the college application process! She's also on a couple of sports teams which require the same forms every year; it will be nice to have the info already entered and just modify some dates!

It does have a few glitches, but overall, it's a nice product with plenty of good features. The original annual price of $72 was too much for the few times I would use it in the course of a year, but the special rate of $18 was reasonable. If I would use it more, it would be worth it, although I hate subscriptions. We'll see if I use it enough to justify renewing next year.

Does a landlord have to give you interest on your security deposit?
Since the security deposit does not belong to the landlord, many states require that a landlord collect interest on behalf of the tenant. This becomes nearly impossible to calculate if the deposit is commingled with personal funds.
Can landlord take money from bank account?
The landlord may also want your bank account number as security against you subsequently defaulting on the rent. If the landlord has to sue you for lease violations, he may seek a court order allowing him to garnish your bank account, meaning he can take money directly from your account to pay a judgment debt.
How much interest should a security deposit earn?
You pay a $1,000 security deposit and a $1,000 last month's rent payment. The interest on the account is 1%. Your landlord must pay you a total of $20 in interest for every year that you rent. If the landlord does not pay you directly, you may subtract this $20 from your rent payment.
Can a landlord look at your bank account?
The landlord can ask your bank if the check he's holding from you is backed by sufficient funds, but he can't get information on your account balance.
Can you earn interest on a security deposit?
A security deposit protects a landlord against your breaking the lease early and leaving him without rent or from excessive damages to the property. Because you must pay this money to the landlord and cannot use it while you live on the property, many states require the landlord to pay interest on the funds.
How much interest do you earn on a security deposit?
You calculate the interest in finding the year you signed the lease in and multiplying the deposit by that amount. For a deposit of $1,000 with an interest of 0.01%, you would multiply 1,000 by. 0001 to get the annual interest, $0.10, and you would add that amount for each year, $0.20 for two years.
