The encapsulation of autographs such as checks, cuts, index cards, unlicensed cards, and the like has become a very popular service at PSA/DNA. Encapsulation, if you choose the service, is now included in the full PSA/DNA authentication fee for those items with an authentication fee of $50 or more.
After authentication and grading, PSA encapsulates the item. A label displays the pertinent information along with the certification number. Encapsulated items do not receive a LOA or COA, PSA tamper-evident label or DNA daub.
When you see the PSA/DNA Guaranteed Authentic certificate, it means the item was autographed in the presence of a PSA/DNA representative. In-the-Presence authentication by PSA/DNA is absolutely the best way to guarantee the authenticity and maximize the value of your autographed memorabilia.
