Sure, you can move around by using the four navigation buttons to the left of the worksheet tabs, or by pressing Ctrl + Page Up or Ctrl + Page Down, but there are better ways. Read on to learn two of my favorite navigation techniques for large workbooks.
How do I navigate between sheets in Excel?
Switch Between Worksheets in Excel. So in order to move through sheets or tabs in an Excel workbook using the keyboard, simply press and hold CTRL and then press the Pup or PGD buttons to move from right-to-left or left-to-right! That's it!
What techniques do you use to navigate or move within a worksheet?
Tab — Moves you one cell to the right.
Shift+Tab — Moves you one cell to the left.
Home — Takes you to Column A of the current row.
Page Up/Page Down — Contrary to the names, Page Up and Page Down actually take you up/down one screen at a time.
Alt+Page Up — Moves you one screen to the left.
Which method can you use to navigate in Excel?
Using the Arrow Keys Clicking the Up, Down, Left or Right arrow keys will move the active cell in the selected direction one row or column at a time. You can use the Page Up and Page Down buttons to move quickly to the top or bottom of the screen.
