Can you use regular gel polish for stamping?
For starters, when you get your stamping image on, you have to cure it, just like regular gel. You also don't have to work as quickly as you would with regular polish because it won't air dry. You can scrape and re-scrape your plate all you want. It's got more of a consistency like builder gel or acrylic.

Well, the answer is, yes. Yes you do need stamping polish if you are wanting nail art that looks good and will last you. Stamping polish is different from regular nail polish in that it is formulated to be thicker and dry slower. Stamping polish tends to show up in more vibrant color than regular nail polish as well.

Look for a good stamping polish. Usually polishes that will cover your nail with one coat will stamp well. Metallic polishes and some matte polishes work very well.
