Like the program, although it does seem complicated. However, I keep receiving error messages when I send docs to be signed, and when I send it in I receive a message saying it is on our end. Can I get a permit after remodeling?
While some home improvement projects might not need a permit, many others do. You'd be well advised to check with your local government office to see whether a permit is required. Whatever the case may be, conducting a remodeling job without the necessary permits can spell trouble down the line.
What if I remodel without a permit?
In defense of pulling house permits for a remodeling job, if you're flexible with your time and don't mind spending a few hundred more, it's generally a good idea to get a permit. The damage caused by that fire might not be covered by a homeowner's insurance policy if the improvement was finished without a permit.
Is it illegal to renovate without a permit?
